About Liquid Meter Service, Inc.

Family-owned meter proving since 1977

Liquid Meter Service, Inc. was founded in 1977 and has been family owned and operated ever since. From our base in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, we’ve grown alongside our customers in the petroleum, food, and agricultural industries, providing reliable liquid measurement services for nearly five decades.

Our focus has always been the same: accurate measurement, safe operations, and dependable service you can count on year after year.

A Strong Measurement Advantage: Gravimetric Certification Access

We work closely with a metrology lab in Williamston, Michigan that specializes in gravimetric certification – using weight as the reference standard instead of volume. Gravimetric methods offer a higher level of accuracy, and this lab is one of the few remaining facilities in the country providing this service.

Because of our close proximity and relationship with this lab, we can:

  • Repair your proving unit
  • Arrange volumetric or gravimetric certification, depending on your requirements
  • Return equipment that’s ready for critical custody transfer and regulatory needs

Why Customers Choose Us

  • Established in 1977 – deep industry experience
  • Family ownership with a hands-on approach to every job
  • Access to one of the few gravimetric certification labs in the country
  • Technicians who meet or exceed industry and site-specific safety standards
  • A reputation built on doing the job right the first time
